Zee Hua Cheung has worked for more than 19 years in information technology, specializing in health information and government services. She has led large implementations for various Canadian provinces and has worked with a number of First Nation communities. She is currently a Director with Gevity’s First Nations, Territories and NGO Division.
Partnering with Canadian provincial and First Nations health jurisdictions to implement the Panorama public health communicable disease surveillance and management system has become something of a passion for Zee Hua. In addition to managing teams focused on the data, interfaces, reporting and technical architecture pieces, Zee Hua has also performed business and enterprise analysis, developed training and communications materials and managed the transition to operations. In all aspects of her work, Zee Hua draws from her toolkit of trusted project, business analysis and change management techniques, informing and enriching her work with clients and addressing the challenges that come up from time to time on all projects.
Zee Hua’s experience with Canadian First Nations peoples has driven her to further her understanding of the history of indigenous communities in the context of health information and data, both through her experience on various projects, as well as through additional course work.
Zee Hua holds a Bachelors of Engineering from McGill University (Montréal, Canada) and has completed her CBAP®, PMP, Prosci® and CPHIMS-CA Certifications. In her spare time, Zee Hua enjoys running and indoor cycling and planning for her “next hiking trip”.
