Joanne Templeton opened Gevity’s Ontario Branch in 2010, and has recently taken over responsibility for managing all of eastern Canada. She is accountable for the Canada/East Division’s business development activities, as well as client, office and consultant management.
With more than 30 years of information management and technology experience, Joanne is a leader in the industry and provides senior consulting services on many Gevity engagements. She has been involved in the healthcare sector since 2000 where she was engaged to facilitate the business process redesign for a public sector client amalgamating five organizations into one and looking for efficiencies and application of industry best practices. During the SARS outbreak in 2003, Joanne liaised with Health Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, leading an ad hoc technical team to develop tools to help manage the outbreak and support health care workers who were coping with the crisis.
While Joanne has been involved in large national and provincial implementations in Canada, she also enjoys the smaller projects that make a difference. She believes that to fully understand a client’s challenge, you have to get close to the source; and she enjoys travelling the unbeaten path to gain this experience.
When not working with her team and clients, you can find Joanne either trying to improve her golf game or doing another home improvement project.
