Marc Koehn is a senior consultant with extensive experience in project leadership, management consulting and facilitation. He has large-scale project experience including working with and leading diverse, multi-jurisdictional and multi-disciplinary stakeholder groups. His work has spanned a broad spectrum of client organizations ranging from providers and vendors to national agencies such as Canada Health Infoway and the Canadian Institute for Health Information, as well as global groups such as the International Health Standards Development Organization (IHTSDO).
Prior to its merger with Gevity, Marc was Chief Operating Officer, and co-founder of Gordon Point Informatics Ltd. (GPi) a leading firm in eHealth standards and systems architectures.
Marc has a dual role within Gevity: as Chief Operating Officer he has overall responsibility for corporate operations across Gevity operating companies internationally. As Executive Managing Partner, he leads our Specialty Practice Division that offers focused expertise in areas currently ranging from health systems optimization to program planning, monitoring and evaluation; clinical informatics, integrated care, public health solutions, and population and public health consulting. Our Specialty Practice Division is also home to Gevity’s growing international development practice.
Marc earned a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Victoria and an MBA from Simon Fraser University. He also holds the CPHIMS-CA designation from HIMSS – the Health Information and Management Systems Society and the ITCP and ISP designations from CIPS – the Canadian Information Processing Society.
When not in the office, Marc can be seen playing soccer (poorly) or navigating either snow or water with wake boards or snow boards and skis, respectively. He is slowly accepting the fact that his teenage and university age daughters out-manoeuver him handily in most of these leisure endeavours.
