Marc Koehn is a senior consultant with extensive experience in project leadership, management consulting and facilitation. He has large-scale project experience including working with and leading diverse, multi-jurisdictional and multi-disciplinary stakeholder groups. His work has spanned a broad spectrum of client organizations ranging from providers and vendors to national agencies such as Canada Health Infoway, the Canadian Institute for Health Information, the US National Cancer Institute, as well as global groups such as the International Health Standards Development Organization (IHTSDO).
Prior to its merger with Gevity, Marc was Chief Operating Officer, and co-founder of Gordon Point Informatics Ltd. (GPi) a leading firm in eHealth standards and systems architectures.
Marc has a dual role within Gevity: as Chief Operating Officer he has overall responsibility for corporate operations across Gevity operating companies internationally. He also supports Gevity’s divisional leaders in the development and delivery of consulting service business lines.
Marc also currently chair Gevity’s board of directors.
Marc earned a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Victoria, an MBA from Simon Fraser University and has completed the Harvard Business School’s Leading Professional Services Firms executive program. He holds the CPHIMS-CA designation from HIMSS – the Health Information and Management Systems Society as well as the ITCP and ISP designations from CIPS – the Canadian Information Processing Society.
When not in the office, Marc can be seen playing soccer (poorly) or navigating either water or snow with wake boards or snow boards and skis, respectively. He has accepted the fact that his daughters out-manoeuver him handily in most of these leisure endeavours and proud that they have chosen to pursue STEM careers.
