Yoel Robens-Paradise, Vice President, Canada West – BC

Yoel Robens-Paradise is a health care executive with an extensive track record of leading large, successful digital transformation initiatives. Prior to joining Gevity, Yoel was Vice-President of Providence Health Care (PHC), where he led all Health Information Management and Biomedical Engineering operations at Vancouver Coastal Health, Provincial Health Services Authority, Providence Health Care and the Fraser Health Authority (approximately 1,700 staff at 36 facilities).

As PHC's lead for Digital Health Informatics, Yoel was also co-sponsor for the Clinical and System Transformation Project, one of Canada’s largest electronic health record enabled transformations.

A proven strategic leader who has successfully delivered large complex transformations that improved services and achieved significant financial targets, Yoel is known for a collaborative approach that unites diverse professionals into high-functioning teams focused on common goals.

Yoel has a Masters in Public Administration and Health Policy from Columbia University and has spoken at numerous conferences. He has published articles on health information management, outcomes measurement, quality improvement, planning and evaluation of health services. Yoel strives to be a values-based leader; emphasizing transparency, public accountability, respect and a focus on client/customer service. He volunteers on the Board of Directors as Treasurer for the Canadian Health Information Management Association and as Vice-Chair on the Board of Camp Miriam, a children's summer camp. A great day off for Yoel might include hiking, biking or kayaking with family or friends or power yoga to prevent his four teens from throwing him off balance!

Yoel is based out of Gevity’s Vancouver office, where he is accountable for leading and expanding the Gevity Canada West – BC practice.
